When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

The best time for newborn photography is within the first 10 days of your baby’s life, when they are still very sleepy and flexible for those cute, curled-up poses. Ideally, you should book your session while you’re still pregnant to ensure availability.

What happens if my baby cries or is fussy during the session?

It’s completely normal for newborns to cry or be fussy. I’m experienced in soothing babies to help them feel comfortable, and we’ll take breaks as needed for feeding, rocking, and comforting. We’ll work at your baby’s pace to ensure they’re relaxed.

How long will it take to receive the photos after the session?

Approx. 2-3 weeks after your photoshoot we'll arrange a gallery reveal appointment where you'll be able to see the finished gallery and choose your favourite images.

Can we include our pets in the session?

Pets are part of the family too! If you’d like to include your pets in the newborn session, just let me know in advance. We can capture some sweet moments with your baby and furry family members.

I’m a Cheltenham-based newborn photographer, specialising in capturing your baby’s earliest moments with care, creativity, and attention to detail.

Newborn photography goes far beyond simply taking photos. It requires specialist knowledge, safety training, and above all a gentle, soothing approach to ensure your baby remains comfortable, calm, and settled throughout the session.

How it works?

Newborn sessions are best done when your baby is around 3 weeks old, so booking while you’re still pregnant is highly recommended.
Once your baby arrives, we’ll have a quick chat to go over your preferences and styling ideas.
Every session is completely baby-led, moving at your baby’s pace with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling.
Sessions typically last around 2–3 hours, allowing for a calm and relaxed experience.
You’ll have access to my wide selection of wraps, props, and outfits.
Once your edited gallery is ready, I’ll invite you back to the studio for a viewing appointment where you’ll see the final images and choose your digital image bundle.

Pricing

Your newborn session at my studio in Kingsway, Gloucester only costs £45.

This covers the entire process and my work in the studio but does not include products and images.

Your final gallery of edited images will be ready approx. 10 days after our session and waiting for you to come to the studio for your viewing appointment.

The Studio

Located in Kingsway, GL2 (near Gloucester)

My welcoming photography studio is fully equipped for maternity, newborn, family, and cake smash sessions.

You’ll have full access to a beautiful collection of maternity gowns, newborn props, wraps, and outfits, along with a comfortable seating area and refreshments, so you can relax while your special moments are captured.

The studio is conveniently located just off the M5 motorway on the way to Gloucester, right next to the A38, making it easy to reach from surrounding areas.
