Newborn Safety & Session Experience
Your baby’s safety and comfort are always my highest priority. I am newborn safety trained and paediatric first aid trained, and every session is carefully planned with your baby’s wellbeing at the centre.
Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. We move at your baby’s own pace, with plenty of time for cuddles, feeding, settling, and comfort breaks whenever needed. There is never any rushing — your baby decides the flow of the session.
To help babies feel calm and secure, the studio is kept warm at around 25°C, which is ideal for newborns. I use gentle swaddling techniques designed to soothe and settle babies, always ensuring they are comfortable, supported, and able to breathe freely.
I am fully insured, and all props, wraps, and fabrics are carefully selected, cleaned, and used with safety in mind.
What Parents Can Expect
Being a newborn photographer in Kingsway means I am ideally placed for clients from the surrounding Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Bristol and Cirencester.
All newborn session are done in my private, warm, comfortable photography studio in Kingsway, Gloucester.
Newborn photoshoot can last up to 3-4 hrs with plenty of time for feeding and cuddles. We'll arrange a pre-consultation call before our session to discuss basic health related questions and give you information how to prepare.
The best time to photograph your baby is when they are under 3 weeks of age.
Getting in touch during your pregnancy, as early as your 20 weeks scan, ensures we have plenty of time to plan the styling of your session and to help you prepare.
Pricing
Your newborn session at my studio in Kingsway, Gloucester only costs £45.
This covers the entire process and my work in the studio but does not include products and images.
Your final gallery of edited images will be ready approx. 10 days after our session and waiting for you to come to the studio for your viewing appointment.
